River tourism and cruises in Poland, the 1000 lake region

To the northeast of Poland there is a large area of lakes, a true paradise for sailors, fans of fishing, walks in the forest and in silence. There is the largest lake in Poland, similar to a small sea, Sniardwy, with an area of 113 km2. The lakes are connected by numerous rivers and canals and form the most popular sailing route - the Great Lakes Route of Mazuria.

Recognized since 1977 by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve park and World Natural Heritage. Mazury is a magic word for many of the inhabitants of Poland; it is associated with summer, with blue water spaces dotted with the whiteness of sailboats and with the thick greenery of the Pisz Forest.
